CBD World-Connect Initiative is a platform for commercialization in the global home furnishing and building decoration industry. It is launched by CBD Guangzhou specifically for connecting global high-quality home furnishing and construction enterprises with buyers such as multinational purchasing groups, international traders, cross-border e-commerce platforms, overseas retailers, overseas distributors, overseas designers, and overseas end-users from various countries and regions with high-quality global .

As the "Belt and Road" initiative resonates deeply with Saudi Arabia's "Vision 2030," Chinese home furnishing and building materials companies are facing a historic window of opportunity to "go globe". To help enterprises seize the opportunity, in November 2025, the core team of the China (Guangzhou) International Building Decoration Fair (“CBD Guangzhou”) headed straight to the heartland of the Middle East, appearing at industry events in three key cities: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Muscat, Oman; and Dubai, UAE. With unprecedented intensity, they carried out a series of promoting activities of  the CBD World-Connect Initiative, at four top-level industry events within a month, locking in high-quality international buyers in advance, and paving a fast track for brand globalization.

During this trip, we introduced CBD Fair to approximately 4,500 exhibitors and visitors and extended invitations in depth. Over 500 international buyers proactively shared their information, expressing eagerness to attend in July.

◆ Partnerships Formed, Networks Expanded

◆ Organizers & Venues: Reached a strategic cooperation agreement with Riyadh Exhibitions Co. Ltd. (REC), the organizer of the Saudi Build Show; explored collaborative opportunities for mutual empowerment with Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Centre (RICEC).

◆ Business Association : Collaborated with the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and the Saudi Guangdong Chamber of Commerce to plan local promotional events and organize buyer delegations.

◆ Promotion & Outreach Partners: Partnered with Beginning of Direction Holding Company, which specializes in the Saudi market and assists Chinese companies in establishing local presence, for localized promotion. Also reached promotional cooperation intentions with industry media such as ITP Media Group, Gulf Construction (Saudi Arabia), and Oman Product Finder.

◆ International Delegation Interest: Discussed delegation participation and visits with organizations such as Advantage Austria, the trade promotion organisation of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, and the Trade Office of the Consulate General of Malaysia in Jeddah.

◆ Invitation of Key International Buyers: Conducted in-depth discussions with several international home furnishing and building materials brands, distributors, retailers, real estate developers, and design firms, including Masdar (a leading distributor in Saudi Arabia), Flaminggo (an Oman-based home furnishing distributor), and Veneta Cucine (an Italian kitchen cabinet brand), sparking their interest in visiting and sourcing at the fair.
